Cronometer only updates with manual synch

Still hoping this app gets updated because I love the concept, visual layouts - everything — but all of the data is not even close to actual sources. The Cronometer data only populates )and not correct data when it does get pulled in) when I synch manually with Sonar. I checked all data settings and enabled background refresh on my iPhone - doesn’t help.
